it's too bad it wasn't opened in the summer as originally planned. there is a lot of competition right now because it's the holidays. Family films will dominate during this time. But the film is doing well, given that most thought it would flop completely.
Lisa,
I emailed foxlife@foxnews.com (the editor of the life section). Roger Friedman (ahem, Jewish, sorry) is working my last nerve. He was the ONLY reporter to report that Apocalypto was a failure when it was #1 at the box office and his latest article this weekend gleefully was the only one to say that Apocalypto was a failure (again) and that all other movies "deservedly" was above it.
He has trespassed to Mel's church on numerous occassions and even published the address with directions on how to get there (inviting every nut to kill him, i guess). Please email the editor and tell that person to control Friedman's bias and that it's hurting Fox's credibility.
Friedman is extremely unprofessional and it's insulting for him to think that readers won't be able to pick up on his bias. i also don't think it's ok that he's endangering mel and his family's safety by sharing with millions the address and directions to get to his place of worship. he's crazy.
Damn, he published the address of his church? That's just wrong, thanks for letting me know, I will also email the editor.
